APPLICATION
This component is used as a security in a hydraulic drives and ensures continuous rotation of the pump system. These propulsion systems are used in agriculture, road building, mining and other construction machines.

ADVANTAGE OF THE CIREX CASTING PROCESS
Because of the ‘Near Net Shape’ design of the cast piece, only minimal post-processing is required. By applying directional solidification to this cast piece, the material structure is extremely homogeneous. This makes it possible to have the six cams serve as a running surface for the bearings during the rotation of the hydraulic pump. The steel alloy used is characterised by good machinability and toughness in order to accommodate the torque.
